Summer Reading Program
The Summer Reading Program for children occurs annually during June and July. It features special story hours and prizes for young readers. Among the guests have been Ronald McDonald, Ozzie, the Sounds mascot, and Darth Vader.
Story Hour
Weekly story hours for preschoolers are held during the school year. Stories are read by the library staff and special guests.
ABC Club
An ABC Club is held for four-year-olds during the school year. Sign-up is usually scheduled for the first week of August.
Stamp Club
Monthly meetings are held. Contact 822-3137 for more information.
Used Book Sale
The book sales are held in the Spring and December each year. Many titles, magazines, audios, and videos are offered for sale.
Star Gazing
Members of the Cumberland Astronomical Society bring their telescopes to the library for a night of sky watching. Watch for times in newspaper, posted at the library and on this web site.
Book Club
The Book Club meets the third Monday of each month at 6:45 p.m. at the library. New members are welcome. Please call for more information.
Chess Classes
Chess classes are held for youth, 8 to 12 years old, each summer. Participants may register the same time as summer reading sign-up.
